From my window I'm watching the river -
I live on the southern shore
Left to right, left to right, always changing
Every moment was never before

River book where the ripples are letters
Making lines on a wavering page
Illustrations in sunlight and moonlight
Philosophical fishes offstage

Eastern wind comes with serious troubles
It has changed the direction of lines
All I see now is meaningless bubbles
And I cannot interpret the signs
